Why is this different from some other APY figures you might see? Some sites might show a historical average APY over a validator's entire lifetime. While that can offer some long-term insight, it may not accurately reflect current earning potential and can make newer, high-performing validators appear to have lower APYs. Our "Next Epoch APY" is designed to be more relevant for your immediate staking choices.

- IOTA rewards are earned for full epochs where your funds are staked with a validator.
- If you switch validators before an epoch ends, you will likely not receive rewards for that partial epoch from either the old or new validator.
- The best time to switch IOTA validators is immediately after an epoch has concluded.
- Even if you switch at an epoch boundary, your stake with the new validator will start earning rewards for the epoch that begins after the current one completes. There's effectively a "waiting period" of one epoch for IOTA staking.
- The APYs shown are estimates for the next rewardable epoch and can change based on IOTA network conditions, total stake, and validator performance/commission changes.
